About This Project

After helping the village of XinChang receive funds to protect their village, the focus has turned back to the US.  Help the the healthcare workers in the US get the equipment they need to protect themselves form the new Covid19 Coronavirus strain which broke out in mid-January.

3/22  UPDATE:  The virus has now come full circle back to the US.  Help US healthcare workers get the N95 masks and supplies they need.  Taking donations from Asia and the rest of the world.

3/1 UPDATE:  No one in the village has caught the virus so far.  Led by Georgina's push to provide rice for the poorest families, and because of your funding, the government officials actively sought more ways to get food to the villagers.  They are drinking water from the pipe and boiling it.  They are no longer in danger, though are still couped up and unable to go anywhere. Thank you for your response!

2/19 UPDATE:  Although fund were raised for face masks, there is now a food shortage in the village.  Georgina has worked with the local officials to buy rice from a next door neighbor, and have another neighbor process the rice with his machine.  Although we reached our first goal, we will raise the goal again in order to provide food and basic needs for this village.

2/18 UPDATE:  4000 masks were purchased, and a good number of masks were distributed to the workers who have to risk their lives to serve the rest of the village.

With the extra funds raised, Georgina is buying rice for 65 people since food has gotten harder to come by.

2/8 UPDATE:  Georgina purchased 2000 more masks from a local medical supply store. Our US shipment of N95 masks also finally arrived in the next town but have not been allowed into the vlllage just yet.  Georgina and her family walked 5 hours to deliver the 1000 masks and came back feeling sick.  They will decide how to deliver the next 2000, and if they will ask for help from local officials.

Thank you all donors for helping us to reach our goal of getting one mask per person for this small village of 3500 people.  We have the funds, thanks to you, and are on our last stretch.

2/3 Evening UPDATE:  Georgina purchased 1000 face masks locally and she and her family distributing them by walking directly to each house.  They will not go through the officials who took 100 out of the 250 masks they bought last time, for no apparent reason.

Any donations exceeding our goal will go toward purchasing more masks and cleaning supplies for the village.

UPDATE: costs raised to $2500 to cover shipping and price changes in mask cost

2/2 Evening UPDATE:  misunderstanding. The need is for 12500 RMB = $1865, almost there!!

2/2 Evening UPDATE:  100 villagers in XinCheng have tested positive with the virus.  Georgina is making a video, explaning how to use and disinfect a mask, and targeting those who already have the virus, making sure they have masks to wear.

While not having enough funds yet, we are buying and delivering masks in piecemeal, trying to discern who needs them most.

2/2 UPDATE:  shipments from the US have not gotten through customs, and are still in Hong Kong and Korea.  We have been sending funds directly to the village, and Georgina is ordering and delivering products personally to each home.

We need $2500 per 1000 masks for the 3000 villagers who right now have no protection at all.  All purchases have receipts and are made transparent by AI.

1/28 UPDATE:  we sent a shipment of N95 facemasks but road blockages are preventing supplies from getting through to the quarantined sites.  We are taking donations and making money transfers to our station in the vicinity of Wuhan for local purchases of N95 face masks and basic cleaning supplies to be handed out to the very poor in the villages.
